Since the Sprite first appeared more than 50 years ago, many Sprites and Midgets have been prepared for racing, speed and other competitions. The Midget register is concerned that some of these cars may, in time, disappear or their history be lost unless a record is kept of their whereabouts. Many of them have an interesting past which needs to be logged.
The Midget Register has established a register of Spridgets which have been prepared for competition. Owners of cars which meet any of the following criteria are asked to register their cars:
Spridgets which have been modified and/or prepared for motor sporting events. This includes racing, sprinting, hill-climbing, and rallying.
Special Spridgets such as Sebrings, WSMs and Lenhams, even if they have not appeared in competition.
Any Spridget with a competition history.
The above criteria are only intended as guidelines, and are not meant to be exclusive. If you are not sure if your car meets them, please register it anyway! Owners are asked to view this as a service to the archive. There are no tangible benefit to owners. Please help us by registering, whether or not you are a member of the MG Car Club (other Clubs have expressed support for this archive).
