History of Car and any work or modifications carried out: My Midget was originally exported by MG to Ruette Braye and Le Lacheurs (Motors) Limited of Guernsey in 1967, and was sold to a friend of my late grandfather. My grandad bought it from his friend in 1968, and it's been in the family ever since. When I was eight years old, I asked him "Grandad, when you die, please can I have your MG?" He laughed, and replied "We'll see, I'll have to talk to your mum and dad about that." Six years later, Grandad gave the Midget to my dad to look after until I was seventeen, and so with much excitement the MG came to live with us in 1984. Fast forward through two bare metal restorations (the first in 1989; the second in 2012), and the Midget is once again roadworthy and resplendent in two pack Old English White paint (you should see it in the flesh, it's like a mirror!). The interior needs finishing off, but otherwise it's complete. It once again resides in Guernsey, where it generated quite a bit of interest at a classic car show this summer (its first ever show!).
