History of Car and any work or modifications carried out:
I bought the car in July 2000 from David Jeffries who lived in the Ashdown Forrest Area of Sussex, it had already received a new engine and gearbox and had undergone some bodywork restoration to the floor-pan and front panels. Over the years I have gradually replaced items and restored the interior with new autumn leaf trim and carpets, it was also given a new hood: some time after this, the seats were sent away to Telford in Staffordshire for new padding and re-covering. In September 2012 I decided that some more extensive restoration work was necessary and the car was taken to a body-shop in the Canterbury area for a bare-metal respray, during the stripping down process some serious "tin worm" was found in the rear wings, boot floor and rear panel etc. I decided that as the car was already stripped, that the badly rusted items should be totally replaced so she received new rear wings and rear panel along with a new bonnet. The original bonnet was dented and had previously been drilled for restraining clips used to secure it shut during "track" use, all the new panels were obtained from MGB Hive in Cambridgeshire. The car was given some extra welding to the rear struts and the inner wings were re-fabricated before the new rear wings were welded into place, other panels were fitted, then the total respray was done in the original Teal Blue colour, this time in "2 pack" paint, as the original cellulose is no longer a commercially available option.
I hope that you will be able to include this Midget, which is loved by all the family, in a future edition?
