History of Car and any work or modifications carried out:
I will try to speak about me with my best English !
So I'm 21 Years old and I'm a law student, I study in Nantes but most of the time I live near Poitiers, France.
I'm passionate about Classics Cars ever since I was young boy. My other classic is a 1955 Simca Versailles with a Flat Head Ford V8, when I had this car the engine was removed and the car hadn't run for 25 years! So with the help of Friends I fixed the car and now it works!
My father has several vintage cars, a 1961 Maserati 3500GTI, a 1934 MG NA Magnette special, a 1936 Georges Irat and a superb 1989 Range Rover classic 2 doors V8...
I bought the Midget from an English man who lives in Charente who is a Midget enthusiast.
When I bougth the car the paint was new but sad looking, a Friend of mine repainted it (birthday gift!) and then I removed the Rubber Bumpers and did the necessary bodywork to make it beautiful!
Last summer the car blew a gasket and I replaced it myself. The engine is in original configuration.
I had attended a lot of Classic Car meetings with the Midget, like the Circuit des Remparts at Angoulême where there is a lot of British Enthusiasts and the Le Mans Classic. In June I will go to the Sport et Collection (500 Ferrari’s in aid of cancer charity) in the Vigeant track where there will be a lot of Classics and some Midgets. It will be the first time for me with the Midget on track. I would like to fit my car with an Anti-Roll Bar and I have just bought an Oil Cooler but I'm looking for a Thermostatic Sandwich plate if you know where I can find it? My kit is a Mocal one.
I add some pictures of the Midget with some friends and chasing the marvelous Jaguar Lowdrag E-Type of a friend.
I would be happy to see the midget into the car of the month section!
