Hello Forum, a question to the K-series drivers. How did you get the rev-counter signal from the K-series engine into the original Smiths Rec Counter? Is a coversion necessary? I think "easily" using the original tachometer does not work. Is that right? But what is to do? Does anyone have an idea?
Hi Ferdi, if you join the K series / Zetec Midget and MGB group on Facebook, there is a very active group of owners, you will be able to get the range of options depending on your ECU. Many do have output feeds that you can use but depending on signal may mean you need to be clever how you feed off from the coil drivers to get a 4 pulse per rev signal as you would have done from a coil.
