Looks like you and your Son are in for some fun! The great thing about these cars is the parts supply and inexpensive running costs so well worth the work. The left hand drive car is actually a later car by the look of it, a 1500cc Rubber Bumper model, as it has the additional upper chassis rail to support the extra weight of the (very) heavy Rubber Bumper! You'll see that the RHD car does not have this. You can use the LHD body if it's in better overall condition and fit the Chrome Bumpers of the earlier car with a bit of body modification. Lot's of owners have done it!
If you have the chassis numbers of the two you can discover their age by looking in our production data section.
Good luck and we'd love to hear, and see, how you get on. There's always plenty of help and advice available from fellow owners too.
