Hi. Trying to re hang my door as it’s all over the place. I’ve had a nightmare here. After much messing about and several chips of paint over several hours, I am a broken man! At the A post, it sits nicely at the top of door then gap gets bigger and bigger toward bottom of door. At the rear of door, it is nearly there, but has contact at the top near the edge and contacts the frame chipping paint off where the door kinks up vertical about two inches toward top of door. I have adjusted hinge positions, marking as I go, also tried moving the door horizontally forward using the adjusting bolts inside door, having removed door card. So, can anybody offer any more ideas as I’m out of my patience here, thanks in advance. Garry

Hi. I have just successfully put my midget through it’s first mot in 15 years after restoration of 2 years ownership. Problem is, it’s running quite rough on idle. Then as you accelerate, it begins to cough and splutter. It has all new carb jets, needles, new electronic distributor, good valve clearance and I set the timing to 10 degrees BTDC. I have tried playing with the mixture and the spark plugs have suggested that it’s running rich. I used a colour tune kit, which didn’t much help as after I adjusted it the car wouldn’t run at all. I’m thinking of biting the bullet and taking to a garage which would be able to set up the timing and mixture to suit these modern fuels but would still welcome any suggestions of help. I’m really pleased with how the car has turned out and I want to show off my home respray job as friends have commented favourably. But this rough running is a real downer after so much tinkering. Thanks in advance. Garry.
